Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who reads bosstally.com. Using the site means accepting them. If a clause here does not suit you, the remedy is simple: close the page.

1. What this site is

BossTally publishes an editorial register of mobile games available on Google Play. Every entry is a description and an editorial assessment, written after a session with the title on an Android handset. Scores shown beside a title are the figures published on the game's Google Play listing on the day of the check, copied without rounding.

Assessments are opinion, not measurement. A game that suits one reader will bore another, and a listing that was accurate in August can change with the next update from its developer.

2. Advertising disclosure

• The register is published in full on the page and asks for no account.
• Outbound links to Google Play are advertising placements. They are marked with the sponsored attribute in the page source and disclosed here.
• Editorial assessments are the opinion of the editor. They are not supplied, reviewed or approved by any partner.
• A placement buys a labelled link. It does not buy a position in the register, a score, a sentence in a note, or the removal of an unfavourable remark.
• Which titles are listed, and in what order, is decided editorially before any placement is agreed.

3. No affiliation

BossTally is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or otherwise connected to Google LLC, or to any of the developers or publishers named in the register. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. All other product names, logos and brands are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the titles described.

4. Intellectual property

Game icons and screenshots reproduced in the register belong to their rights holders and are shown for the purpose of identifying and reviewing the titles concerned. Game titles and developer names belong to their owners.

The editorial text, the structure of the register, the layout, the typography and the design of this site belong to BossTally. You may quote a short passage with a visible link back to the page it came from. Wholesale copying of the register, or republishing it as your own listing, is not permitted.

5. Accuracy and availability

The register is kept accurate to the best of our ability, but it is a snapshot. Ratings, review counts, availability, conditions of use and content can change at any time and without notice, and a title that behaved one way in August may be a different thing after its next update. Always confirm the current details on the Google Play listing before installing anything.

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that it will be available without interruption, that it will be without errors, or that any game described here will suit your device or your taste.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that applies to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability can be limited, it is limited to re-supplying the affected content.

7. Third-party sites

Links leave this site for Google Play and, occasionally, for a developer's own page. Those destinations have their own terms and their own privacy practices, and we do not control what they publish or how they handle your data. Follow a link and you are on their terms, not ours.

8. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting or its subscription list.
• Do not submit an e-mail address that is not yours.
• Do not scrape the register for automated republication.

9. Subscriptions

The subscription form sends editorial updates only, through browser notifications and e-mail. Consent can be cancelled at any time; how, and what is stored in the meantime, is set out in the privacy notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute arising from the site is subject to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts.

11. Changes

These terms may be revised as the site changes. The current version always sits on this page with the date at the top; continuing to read the register after a revision means accepting it.
